Meade Harris

Co-Founder

Meade Harris is Co-Founder of Dynamo Energy Hub. She has nearly two decades’ experience in the energy sector and has done business in 30 countries, giving her a global outlook on business and life.

Meade is also the CEO of The Hawthorn Club, the international network for women in the energy sector. As the club helps to improve gender diversity and place female executives into the C-suite, Meade is at the forefront of the energy transition. Meade has grown The Hawthorn Club to include branches on four continents, sponsored by some of the world’s biggest energy and technology companies – from upstream and downstream, utilities and power, to new and disruptive technologies.

Kristin Barbato

President & Co-Founder

Kristin Barbato has 25 years in energy and sustainability spanning utilities, government, and energy services, and now leverages this experience successfully as an entrepreneur. She founded Build Edison to accelerate commercialization of innovative energy solutions and as Co-founder and President of Dynamo Energy Hub, she is creating the new platform to connect energy transition leaders and innovators across the world. Kristin previously served as the Chief Energy Management Officer at the City of New York, the largest municipal energy operation in the US, VP of Customer Energy Solutions at NYPA, and other utility and corporate executive roles.

Kacy Cox

Chief of Staff and the Director of Strategic Partnerships

Kacy Cox is the Chief of Staff and the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Dynamo Energy Hub, serving as the right-hand to the Co-Founders, Meade and Kristin. In her role, Kacy assists with the growth and development of the Dynamo network, spearheads special projects and events, and helps to manage the day-to-day operations.

Previously, Kacy was the Executive Assistant to both the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Rockefeller Capital Management—an $11.2 billion AUM investment manager and financial advisory firm servicing both institutional and ultra-high net worth clientele. Kacy provided support on all branding, positioning and integrated marketing initiatives as well as high-level operational support to the Finance team.

Prior to joining Rockefeller in 2020, Kacy was the Design Studio Lead & Assistant to the VP of Design at rag & bone—an award-winning, American fashion label sold worldwide. In her role at Rag & Bone, from 2013 to 2020, Kacy provided operational oversight of the design process, promotional photo shoots and rag & bone’s highly publicized fashion shows. Kacy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina – Wilmington.

Caroline Banfield

Director of Membership & Marketing Operations

Caroline Banfield is the Director of Membership & Marketing Operations for Dynamo Energy Hub. In her role she will support Dynamo membership at large and oversee all business development and promotional activities. She will also serve as the face of Dynamo at its hub in Austin, TX.

Prior to joining Dynamo, Caroline was the Head of Marketing for Stronghill Capital, a high-growth commercial real estate lender with $1B AUM. At Stronghill Capital she was responsible for the design and implementation of integrated marketing and communications strategy across the business’s B2B and B2C products.

Caroline began her career with Institutional Investor—a global financial media and events brand. She began with II as an intern and eventually oversaw the day-to-day operations for the brand’s flagship conference products—totaling $20M in revenue—as well as managed global audience development and lead generation campaigns for both conference and media products.

Caroline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. She is a member of the Financial Communications Society and the Austin Marketing Association. Caroline is also an avid cook and has previously worked as Personal Chef. In her spare time she volunteers with local women’s advocacy groups and is learning American Sign Language.

Claudia Prandoni

Marketing and Communications Manager

Claudia Prandoni is the Marketing and Communications Manager at Dynamo Energy Hub where she develops integrated communication and marketing strategies to support overall brand and business development goals.

Previously, Claudia worked at Keller and Heckman LLP, where she provided support to firm partners, including creating email campaigns, organizing virtual and in-person events, and managing the website.

Prior to Keller and Heckman, Claudia worked at Energy Futures Initiative as a communications intern, where she distilled technical research on the climate crisis into compelling graphics, writing, and media campaigns to make them more accessible to policymakers, business, labor, and the press. Claudia has also worked for Girl Up at the United Nations Foundation and I.M.P, an independent concert promotion and production company.

Claudia is a recent graduate of the George Washington University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Special Honors. During university, Claudia served as the Marketing & PR Coordinator for Camp Kesem GW, a national organization dedicated to supporting children impacted by a parent’s cancer and helped raise $46,000 in 24 hours on Giving Tuesday.

In her spare time, Claudia enjoys playing on her local D.C. soccer league team and attending music concerts throughout the city.

Shayla Certain

Member Service Coordinator

Shayla Certain is the Member Service Coordinator at Dynamo Energy Hub. In her role she supports the Membership & Marketing Operations team in managing relationships for Dynamo members and serves as the main point of contact for day-to-day client management. She also serves as one of the faces of Dynamo at its hub in Washington, D.C. 

Prior to joining Dynamo, Shayla worked at the Corn Refiners Association as a Government Relations Intern where she provided support to the CRA policy staff. She assisted with the implementation of CRA’s legislative and regulatory agenda and built relationships with CRA member companies. She also gained knowledge about agriculture and its impact on society.  

Shayla has held many internship positions throughout her college career. She worked for companies such as Aflac, On Earth Peace, and Locust Street Group. In addition, she has worked for congressional offices such as Delegate Carroll Foy and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman. She has gained a lot of valuable experiences through these internships that she is excited to implement throughout her time at Dynamo Hub Energy.  

Shayla is a recent graduate of Howard University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science. During University, she gained a particular interest in Climate Change and Sustainability through an off-campus program called Waves of Change. Not only was she able to learn how to become more sustainable herself, but she also was able to educated other people of color on the importance of climate change.   

Augustin Lacroix

Data & Research Associate

Augustin Lacroix is a third-year economics major at Columbia University. As part of a dual BA program, he previously studied Politics & Government at Sciences Po Paris with a concentration in International Finance. Augustin joined Dynamo in February 2022 and works on the business development side, both conducting research to help Dynamo in its market expansion and in its services to members, as well as upkeeping Dynamo’s data structure and flow. 

 Prior to joining Dynamo, Augustin first worked as a consultant and later branch director at Junior Consulting Sciences Po, a student consulting firm that aimed to help local public and private actors modernize and develop new projects. During this time, he also presided over the Reims Economics Society, Sciences Po’s largest economics-focused student organization. Augustin then interned at Stifel Europe Bank AG in sell-side equity capital markets. 

 Passionate about the energy sector and climate change, Augustin ambitions to participate in the transition to low-emitting energy, and help companies innovate to prepare for the adverse shocks of a warming world, and its economic consequences. 

Desean Taber

Marketing & Social Media Associate

Desean Taber is a third-year undergraduate Anthropology Student at Columbia University in the City of New York, focusing on Indigenous Studies and Climate Change. He is passionate about clean energy, decarbonization, working with marginalized communities to combat climate disasters, and uplifting traditionally ignored voices in the climate change community to promote social change.

Before Dynamo, Desean worked in the arts as a full-time professional ballet dancer for 8+ years. He was a leading dancer with elite companies both nationally and internationally- touring internationally, performing over 600 times to an audience of 4000+ patrons, and helping the companies to gain millions in revenue. During his ballet career, he collaborated with the Social Media Teams for many projects, outreach programs, and events. Additionally, he was invited to be a member and advocate for the National Equity Project. This partnership is a program with Dance Theatre of Harlem, The International Association of Blacks in Dance, Dance/USA, and 21 professional ballet organizations working to increase diversity and the presence of BIPOC people in all areas of the ballet industry.

Desean joined Dynamo as an intern in December 2021 and will be working with the communications and marketing teams to help grow the platforms and promote cleantech energy globally. He looks forward to working with organizations and people dedicated to changing the world for the better.

Jane Sadler

Intern

Jane Sadler is a second-year Master’s of Public Policy Student at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School focusing on renewable energy and sustainability policy.

During her first year at Goldman, Jane consulted to both the City of Alameda on decarbonization efforts for existing residential buildings and to Levi Strauss and Co. on the reduction of shipping waste throughout the global supply chain. In addition to her consulting work, she served as a student researcher at both the Center for Law, Energy and the Environment at Berkeley Law where she tracked environmental rollbacks and reinstallments of climate policy under Presidents Trump and Biden, and at the California China Climate Institute where she analyzed nature-based climate solutions in decarbonization plans.

Last summer, she worked at Rocky Mountain Institute as an intern on the US Federal Policy team, analyzing factors of federal regulation that result in long-lasting policy. This school year, she is serving as the GSPP Liaison to the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collective and Co-President of the Energy Policy Group.

Prior to returning to graduate school, Jane served as Scheduler and Executive Assistant to First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom. She has also worked in campaign consulting at 50+1 Strategies in Oakland, California focusing on digital communication strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jane joined Dynamo as a summer intern in June of 2021. She has supported membership services and operations this past summer, and now primarily works with the communications team to produce outward-facing media and written products.

Vicky Yang

Events and Business Development Associate

Vicky is currently a sophomore at Tufts University studying civil engineering. Her interests include clean energy and climate-focused innovation, and she is looking to work in an intersection of civil engineering and energy. Previously, Vicky has worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Tufts Geohazards Lab, where she focused on earthquake liquefaction inventory. At Dynamo, Vicky supports research and business development, social media, and assissts in event organization.
